Dr. Soorena Sadri is a Board Certified Podiatric Medical Surgeon with 17 years of clinical experience, a clinical innovator, and the Medical Director and Co-founder of HealthWorx Active. He offers a uniquely comprehensive approach to lower extremity health, combining advanced surgical intervention with a deep understanding of human biomechanics, nutrition, and physical performance, specializing in comprehensive foot and ankle surgery and advanced wound care.
Dr. Sadri’s comprehensive approach to medicine is built on a diverse and rigorous academic foundation. He holds undergraduate degrees from University of Maryland in Agriculture, Plant Physiology, and Biology, supplemented by specialized coursework in poisonous and medicinal plants. During his undergraduate studies, he gained invaluable regulatory and scientific experience through internships at the FDA, serving under both the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) and the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Sadri is Board Certified by the American College of Podiatric Medicine. He is a current Board Member and former Chair of the Florida Board of Podiatric Medicine, a prestigious position to which he was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. Deeply committed to patient advocacy and medical integrity, he also serves on the Ethics Committees at both Gulf Coast Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital. By prioritizing structural longevity and utilizing high-tech, precision-driven medical solutions, he provides interventions designed to effectively restore function, heal complex wounds, and significantly improve patient outcomes.
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Sadri bridges the critical gap between medical rehabilitation and athletic conditioning. He is a NASM and ACE Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Sports Nutrition Coach, allowing him to integrate highly tailored strengthening, dietary, and nutrition protocols directly into hospitality healthcare. As an active ballroom dancer and an affiliate of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS), Dr. Sadri possesses a profound, firsthand understanding of the specialized biomechanics and physical demands of the sport. This personal passion has driven his focus on dance medicine, heavily influencing his approach to injury prevention, specialized couple’s conditioning, and the evaluation of dancers to keep them performing at their peak.
A lifelong advocate for youth development and community leadership, Dr. Sadri is deeply invested in Scouting America. As an Eagle Scout, he continues to give back to the Scouting program by actively mentoring the next generation. His commitment extends from organizing and leading local troops on significant educational expeditions to participating in advanced adult leadership training like the Wood Badge program, where his focus remains on scouter wellness and inclusive, effective leadership.
